Journalism is all about exploring myself for me. Working with all of the literature works, reporting on-going stuffs, designing pages for magazines, coming up with various ideas, carrying out of survey makes me more sporty. We are a small group of people working in Journalism and it is more like a small family within the big Ullens family. I was in the journalism group back in my school as well and i got to continue with it, which I believe really helps me replenish my skills of editing, designing, planning and carrying on with the initiated activities. Magazines, newsletters are significant platforms to convey messages, increase awareness, and express one-self and most of all one of the fruitful ways of passing out time. This particular journalism club has not only helped me with all the technicality and literature related work but also with the essence of teamwork and team spirit. There are certain pages where only a certain individual is working on but there also are pages an entire group is working on. It's not just games where teamwork is required; teamwork plays a noteworthy role in the daily life. I was new to designing pages; in fact I had completely no idea about how to work with it. But right now by the help of my fellow classmates and ever supporting second years, I can design an appropriate page with absolutely no difficulty at all.
I believe Journalism is a very promising field. It is all because of this journalism we are up-to-date with the world. However, reporting all the aspects of the society can be very challenging with allowing the emotions and biases to take part in it. This is a great practice; from an early age we are learning how not to included our biases and emotions with the issues we work on or approach.
